How to Update Your iPhone

Overview

Upgrading to the latest version of iOS software provides the latest features, security updates, and bug fixes.

Resolution

Step1: Ensure the device is plugged in, charging and connected to Wi-Fi

Step 2: Unlock your iPhone, go to “Settings”

  • Locate the “Settings” App by: • Swiping all the way to the right (to the last page of your apps) where you will find the “App Library”, search for “Settings”. Or
  • Swipe down from the middle of the iPhone home screen and search for “Settings”

Step 3: From "Settings" scroll until you find "General"

Step 4: From “General” select “Software Update”

Step 5: Select “Download and Install”

  • Wait for Updates to refresh​​​​​​​
  • Select “Download and Install”
  • Device will begin downloading the update​​​​​​​

Note: When the download is complete, you will be prompted to install. This will require the iPhone to restart. Updates can take up to 30 min to install

Step 6: Once the update is completed the following screen will be displayed.​​​​​​​
